Art Docents of Los Gatos
The mission of the Art Docents is to expand a child's educational and cultural experiences in order to foster the development of more flexible, innovative and creative individuals.
This is accomplished through ongoing programs and activities in art history, art criticism, aesthetics, and art techniques.
GATE
- The California Association for the Gifted will strive to improve education of gifted individuals as these persons are defined by current legislation.
- The California Association for the Gifted will sponsor and foster activities significant to the education of gifted individuals as the dissemination of information and the conduct of research and other scholarly investigations.
- The California Association for the Gifted will support and encourage specialized professional individuals in fields related to the education of the gifted.
- The California Association for the Gifted will support activities that encourage advocacy and parent awareness on behalf of gifted education.
Los Gatos Education Foundation (LGEF)
The Los Gatos Education Foundation (LGEF) is a parent-run non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to ensuring the highest quality programs and resources are available to the school children of Los Gatos. Since 1983, LGEF has raised millions of dollars to support excellence in Science, Math, Art (visual and performance) and Technology (SMART). And in times of financial crisis, LGEF has been the only local organization to preserve teachers and help maintain smaller class sizes. Without LGEF, it would be impossible to have a comprehensive K-8 music and visual art curriculum. In addition, LGEF funds the teachers who ensure that science and technology are fully incorporated into classroom lessons and arm teachers with differentiated learning plans for advanced students.

Los Gatos Saratoga Recreation Center
Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education and Recreation is a non-
profit agency that was formed in 1956 through a joint powers agree-
ment with the local school districts in Los Gatos and Saratoga. The
school districts formed the department to ensure the effective and effi-
cient provision ofcommunity education and recreation services to the
communities ofLos Gatos,Saratoga and Monte Sereno.
