Class Notes:
Very soon, you may receive an email inviting you to join with "Qlubb". If you are not currently a member, you may want to become one. This will be how room parents will let you know about class events. They will also ask for volunteers to help at the events through this site. Please consider joining so you know what's happening!!
Up Coming Events:
Fun Walk: Wednesday, October 12
Halloween Celebration: Monday, October 31
Homework:
Homework is ususally due the day after it's given. (i.e. reading page given on Monday is due Tuesday!) Having a homework routine each night and a specific place to do homework can be very helpful for children as they learn to take on this responsibility. To help children become more independent, allow them to complete their homework and put it in their backpack each night. Doing this for them makes them more dependent on you! Your children should bring their green homework folder to school every day so they have it when new assignments are passed out.
Library:
We will visit the library every other week on Thursday. Students can also visit the library at recess and lunch if they'd like to exchange books in between library days.
P.E. We have p.e. every Tuesday afternoon! Please be sure your child is wearing appropriate shoes so they can participate.
Word Work: 4 days a week, students will go to a specific 3rd grade classroom to work with word patterns based on their needs. They will work with their words through different activities each week.
