Word Work-
Second graders will continue word work groups this week.
Differentiated sorts will be sent home today. Homework may be modified so please read through your child's cover sheet carefully for nightly assignments. Please be sure to have your child explain his/her sort to you. It is very telling for you if she/he is able to articulate what the learning point is in the sort. Secondly, application of the rule to future writing is an important goal of word work. Noticing patterns in most words is an important learning point in doing the sorts.
